OldHome.com — A Vision Decades in the Making

Some dreams take a little longer than others.

When I registered OldHome.com in the 1990s, the World Wide Web was still in its infancy. Google was barely a thought, YouTube didn’t exist, and Wikipedia was years away. The internet was an exciting new frontier, and I was fortunate enough to be standing at its doorstep.

Back then, I was busy building websites, renovating old houses, and preparing for the arrival of our first daughter. In fact, she wasn’t even born when I purchased the OldHome.com domain name.

As a lifelong fan of This Old House, I had always been fascinated by the process of restoring, renovating, and improving homes. I envisioned creating an online destination where homeowners, young and old, could discover helpful articles, practical how-to guides, restoration products, and ideas to make their homes better.

It was an ambitious idea for a time when most people were still figuring out what the internet was.

Over the years, I built different versions of OldHome.com, experimented with articles and home-improvement products, and continued pursuing the idea whenever time allowed. But between raising three daughters, running businesses, renovating properties, and building a career in real estate, life had a way of keeping that dream on the back burner.

The vision, however, never went away.

Nearly three decades later, OldHome.com has finally become the website I imagined all those years ago.

Today, I bring nearly 40 years of hands-on experience in home renovation, construction, real estate investing, and helping people buy and sell homes. I’ve spent a lifetime learning what works, what doesn’t, and what makes a house a better place to call home.

And now, I’m sharing that experience with you.

My hope is that OldHome.com becomes a trusted resource for homeowners looking for inspiration, practical advice, useful products, and the confidence to tackle their next project.

I’m glad you found us.

Welcome home!
